High Court of Meghalaya passes Order on 23rd June, 2021, overruling The State of Meghalaya’s attempt (through notifications) to mandate vaccines. The order stated that mandatory or forceful vaccination does not find any force in law.

Furthermore, that a notification / order of the State certainly cannot put an embargo and / or fetter on the fundamental right to life of an individual by stripping off his / her right to livelihood, except according to the procedure established by law; and such order has not been passed by any court till date.

This order is applicable across India now.
